There are legitimate questions on whether immigration levels are adversely affecting housing affordability, or demand on infrastructure, or cost to tax payers, or the job market.
It should be questioned whether our immigration policy promotes terrorism, or criminality or barbaric cultural practices. All these issues are pretty much economic, or law and order issues.
The West has adopted systems of liberalism, universalism, and egalitarianism. The West has become very successful under the culture, and law, of anti-corruption, and anti-nepotism. As an extension of this, Westerners no longer practice in-group preference.
Minority groups, largely made up of new immigrants, are energized by immigration policy in a way that is not true for the rest of Canadians. Minority groups still have a culture of preferring their own groups, as they have not assimilated into Western culture. If there is no economic or law and order benefits to immigration, then I would say the vast majority of Canadians would have no problem ending most immigration to Canada. But this is not true for minority groups. They support immigration based solely on identity reasons.
The Liberals have been playing dog whistle identity politics with minority groups. The Liberals signal to minority groups, that they will be able to continue to grow their communities through immigration. When Trudeau says Canada is the “first postnational state”, he is actually saying that he will continue to shame and ignore established Canadians if they reject the government’s immigration policy. When Trudeau talks about equality, he actually means the exact opposite, minority groups will be allowed to play identity politics and have in-group preference, while the majority of Canadians (Europeans) will not. When Liberals say that their driving motive for immigration is economic, they lie. Liberals have successfully manipulated the political culture so that they may serve minority identity politics while successfully blocking legitimate pushback from the majority of Canadians.
It is hard for Conservatives to energize a base of supporters when they are using the same language that the Liberals do. The word equality is an empty word. It has come to mean status-quo politics of division and inequality. The Western culture that the Liberals draw off of, is not immune to critical examination though. It is possible to call out the Liberals for what they are doing.
Conservatives haven’t had anything to do with identity politics for decades. It is the Liberals that have created a climate of divisive politics, not us. They treat different Canadian groups differently, while we treat everyone the same. We must call out the Liberals for pushing minority identity politics so far that it begs a reaction (Century Initiative!)
The political system cannot play favourites, all Canadians must have equal say about immigration policy. The political climate must no longer cater to minority identity politics while the majority of Canadians are ignored. If it is true that we must grow the Canadian population, immigration is not the only answer. We can promote Canadian families by allowing them affordable housing, low tax burden, jobs, safety and security. In this way we can increase our birthrate if necessary. The status-quo of Liberal corruption and gridlocking meaningful immigration reform must end. A conservative, nationalistic, Canadian-first government would do us a lot of good. This is the positive goal to strive for.
Some other complementary ideas I can think of are:
–Privatizing the CBC, the tax payer funded Liberal government propaganda wing.
–Ending affirmative action; discriminating in favour of one group means discriminating against another group, which is clearly a bad thing. Pro-diversity just means anti-White.
-Equality of tax burden for men and women. Equal treatment in family courts. Social justice wealth redistribution is not the governments’ business. Dispossessing men of their utility is damaging to families. Feminism only exists under the condition of being paid for by men.
-Obviously we care about the plight of all people of the world. Open borders globalism is not the answer though. A nation state is uniquely capable of practicing sovereignty over itself, in order to fix it’s own problems. The best way for us to help others is by supporting self-sustaining nation states. The freedom to fail is how we approach perfection. Difficulty creates strength. Welfare creates weakness.
-Generally diminishing the size of the state and lowering taxes.
-Despite the state wanting Canada to be post-national, Canada is still largely a nation of Europeans. The state should serve our nation. No more mass–immigration. No more White-Genocide. This is how all other non-European states of the world operate. Minority groups clearly still have in-group preference and if these minority groups get large enough they will naturally want a state of their own to serve their own. So for example, if British Columbia became 90% Chinese, this province would likely just separate to form their own nation state. Nothing about hate, this is more just factual real life. I mean the French and English are still at each others necks after hundreds of years, so how would you expect other groups to integrate any better? >Source
