Tribal Politics – Choosing Toronto’s Police Chief

On picking a new (police) chief, John Tory will do the right thing: James

Royson James

By Royson James

“I believe Mayor John Tory will not succumb to any smear campaign designed to cripple Peter Sloly’s bid to become (Toronto’s) police chief.

He will give Sloly a fair chance.

A lot of good people I know and respect will cringe when they read this.

I believe because I’ve seen wallops of basic goodness and integrity in the man Tory. He’s a politician, not a priest, so I don’t expect piety and perfection. But I expect him to be genuine and progressive.

I voted for Tory, even though he is white and privileged. I did so, pained to the heart that Olivia Chow did not meet the mayoral challenge. She would have been such a beautiful representation of 21st century Toronto, embracing the future andcurrent colouring…

“Racist” Flyers Attacked Again

Latest Brampton (Ontario) Flyer (March, 2015)

Brampton Flyer denouncing replacement of European founding people

On Saturday, March 14, a number of immigration reformers leafleted several neighbourhoods in Brampton (Ontario). The leaflet shown above called attention, once again, to the ethnic cleansing of Europeans in Brampton.

Brampton was first incorporated in 1853 — and throughout almost its entire historyBrampton was home to a99% European majority.

Even as late as 1996 … Brampton’s European population stood at 70.1%. But soon after, in the blink of an eye in historic terms, Brampton saw a dramatic reduction in its European population, making up only 32.9% as of 2011. (Probably … now down to 30% White-minority in 2015 … ELN Editor)

[Read: A White Racial Crisis]

It should be noted that many Europeans have been leaving Brampton (Ontario) over the years. Although their exact reasons for leaving haven’t been documented…

Bigfoot Sighting

Springfield

P-D:

Study finds minorities feel marginalized at Missouri State

Although most students feel welcome on the Missouri State University campus in Springfield, about 45 percent of minority students and employees feel they have been treated differently because of their race or ethnicity, according to a new study.

They “feel” it because they’ve been told for years that the KKK is out to get them.  If important and credible people told you every day for 20 years that Bigfoot was out there in the woods, and someone surveyed you to ask you if you thought Bigfoot existed, you know what you’re going to say.

Matt Morrow, president of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, said the report helps ongoing community conversations about improving diversity in Springfield.

Springfield has a pretty good thing going in being about as non-vibrant as a place can be.  Why would they want to ruin…

Europe has not yet developed the backbone that Australia has in blocking invasion

Refugee Resettlement Watch

More ‘Invasion of Europe’ news…..

This is yet one more story about the invasion of Europe and how the continent is bracing for the next onslaught of migrants from North Africa as spring advances, but near the end of the Breitbart piece the answer to the dilemma is clear to all who are willing to see it—the invaders must be blocked as Australia is demonstrating!

European Union countries are bringing the migrants ashore, while Australia sends them back to the country from which they launched (the best way to save lives at sea!). Photo: http://qz.com/350181/the-eu-stands-by-as-thousands-of-migrants-drown-in-the-mediterranean/

From Breitbart(first the same old stuff!):

It is “relatively easy” for jihadists to gain access to the European Union by coming with an influx of refugees, the head of the European Union’s counter-terrorism group has warned.

Although jihadists have to this point seemed to find no difficulty in slipping between Europe and the Islamic…

‘Humanitarians’ still annoyed at Japan for taking only tiny number of asylum seekers

Refugee Resettlement Watch

Maybe “annoyed” is too mild a word.

This story is not new to us.  Japan is one of the few modern countries in the world actively working to keep Japan for the Japanese and the UNHCR and the international humanitarian industrial complex are riled up over it (again!), even as Japan is one of the most generous countries offering humanitarian relief to legitimate refugees housed in camps in the Middle East and Africa.

They are saving Japan for the Japanese people! So what is wrong with that?

Most asylum-seekers reaching Japan are clearly economic migrants and are not trying to escape persecution.

From Japan Today(hat tip: sodiumpen):

TOKYO —

Japan accepted 11 asylum seekers out of a record 5,000 applications in 2014, Ministry of Justice data showed, drawing criticism from advocates and lawyers that the country is not doing enough to provide protection to refugees.

The number of asylum…

US: resettlement of tens of thousands of UN-chosen Congolese refugees well underway

Refugee Resettlement Watch

Our many new readers may not know that the US State Department has agreed to a UN request to resettle 50,000 or so impoverished, uneducated, (mostly) women from DR Congo over a period of several years.

Congolese women and children waiting for their turn to come to America.

This is an informative article from Episcopal News Service that basically reports how needy these refugees are.

It is also interesting to me because we rarely see articles about refugee resettlement contractor Episcopal Migration Ministries, one of the top nine.  Apparently they are less media savvy as they rarely turn up in news stories (like this one) intended to be puff pieces on refugees.

We previously reported on the great need for mental health services for women from DR Congo, here.

From Episcopal News Service:

A Congolese refugee, Zaburiya arrived in Tucson seven months ago with five children…
